Comparison of Washable and Disposable Diapers

Every family has unique and different needs. We offer a wide range of products designed for both types of enuresis (primary or secondary). The final choice will depend on each family and various factors:

  • Economic
  • Practical
  • Security
  • Discretion

Among the different types of products, some are better suited to certain individuals and situations. It is recommended that users and their families understand their own needs before purchasing incontinence and/or bedwetting protection.

Reusable Diapers:

Available in various shapes, absorbency levels, and materials. They can be fitted with extra inserts to increase absorbency if the child wets heavily. They are machine washable and made of a material similar to regular underwear. You can choose from different colors (for girls, boys, teens, and adults). These styles are specially designed for either daytime or nighttime use and are sold in various sizes to fit almost everyone.

Disposable Diapers:

Commonly called "pull-ups" or "all-in-ones," they are very absorbent. They are all made of non-woven fabric (outer layer) and resemble the material of underwear. They are available in pull-up versions (pull-ups) or with side tabs; usually four (all-in-ones). Pull-ups are easier for young children to use because they are pulled on like regular underwear, but they are less absorbent than all-in-ones. Therefore, a choice must be made between ease of use and security. They are available in all sizes and in different absorbencies depending on their use (daytime or nighttime). They are therefore much more discreet than cloth diapers. They are made of SAP (super absorbent material) which keeps the skin dry and all contain a high-performance odor control agent. Most of them can be resealed multiple times.

Advantages of Cloth Diapers

  • Reusable for all types of incontinence and bedwetting
  • Long-term economic factors
  • Ecological
  • They look like ordinary underwear, especially around the waist.
  • Absorption can be increased by adding a bamboo insert (for example).
  • Available in different colors, sizes and styles

Advantages of Disposable Diapers

  • Less bulky and therefore more discreet.
  • Cheaper to buy
  • No need for a laundry service
  • More absorbent and contain odor-neutralizing agents
  • They conform better to the shape of the body, especially in the crotch area.
  • More practical during travel

In summary, each type of diaper has its advantages and disadvantages. The perfect product doesn't exist. Generally speaking, it's important to choose the product that will be the most effective and the least inconvenient. We advise you, whenever possible, to follow the user's preference.
