Training pants or diapers?

With the wide range of choices available in stores, it can be difficult to know whether it is better to put protective products (diapers, complete changes) or training pants (like Pull-Ups) in your basket when your child is prone to nighttime accidents.

These questions will help you make the right choice for your growing child:

How old is your child?

  • Training pants are designed for young children who frequently use the bathroom during the day while they are learning to use the toilet.
  • Protective products (such as pants or diapers) are designed for growing children aged 4 and over who need extra protection at night due to frequent or occasional bedwetting.

How tall is your child?

  • Most training pants fit toddler sizes, up to about 3 years old.
  • Disposable incontinence products (such as pants or diapers) are available in sizes from 4 years old and are therefore perfectly suited to growing children.

When will your child use them?

  • Training pants are designed to be used by the child during potty training, to provide extra protection between bathroom visits.
  • These diapers are specially designed to be worn while lying down. They are soft and ultra-absorbent to help keep your children dry and comfortable all night long. Their discreet design resembles underwear and provides the same feel.

Why do we need it?

  • If your child stays dry all day but sometimes has nighttime accidents, protective pads are probably the right choice. They are made of a soft, discreet material that children will want to wear.
  • They also offer excellent leak protection to keep sheets and pajamas dry all night, which can reduce loads of laundry and save you from cleaning at night.
